The campaign includes promos called “Answer the Quiz and Win!” and “Eat Halo Halo and Tropical Sweets and Win!” which were run on 19 July and to end on 01 August 2011. A three-night-four-day trip to Cebu will be won by five lucky couples for the first promo while 300 halo-halo original roller bags and 100 Kyobashi Senbikiya fruit sets will be for the winners of the second contest.

More than two thousand outlets of the Mini Stop have been decorated with the campaign’s promotional materials to include destination posters. Philippine Airlines and Shangrila Hotel Mactan are featured in the flyers as the airline and accommodation to be availed of by the raffle winners.

DOT Secretary Alberto A. Lim remarked, “We are happy to have partnered with Mini Stop for this project that raises awareness and appreciation of Philippine products, both destinations and food. Given the huge number of outlets, our media mileage spans the whole of Japan. It has remained among the top three single markets following Korea and the USA.”

Val Cabansag, DOT Attache in Tokyo said, “This project, already a third with Mini Stop, is a result of the goodwill between DOT and the convenience store. The first was held in 2009 in celebration of the 15th Anniversary of Mini Stop’s Halo-Halo followed by the Philippine Tropical Sweets Campaign in 2010. The food store is a strong partner in other promotional campaigns held here.”
